IOWA CITY - Iowa City police arrested the manager of an Iowa City liquor store for allegedly fondling a woman at the store's location.
According to criminal complaints, Darin L. Aisenbrey, 39, of Tiffin, was with a woman at Liquor Downtown, 315 S. Gilbert Street, on Nov. 26. At around 11 p.m. that night, Aisenbrey walked to the back room of the liquor store with the woman, where they climbed a ladder which led to the top of a walk-in cooler, according to police.
Police said the woman laid on her back and Aisenbrey sat next to her. The woman told police Aisenbrey suddenly forced his hand up the woman's shirt and under her bra. As the woman struggled, Aisenbrey was able to undue the woman's pants and force his hand underneath her underpants.
The woman was able to free herself and flee down the ladder to a restroom and Aisenbrey followed her into the restroom, locking the door behind them, police said. The woman told police Aisenbrey then ordered the woman to perform oral sex on him for a tee-shirt she wanted.
Police said the woman refused and was able to escape the restroom and leave the liquor store.
Aisenbrey was arrested on Dec. 2 with third-degree sexual abuse, a Class C felony.
If convicted, Aisenbrey could face up to 10 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
