Letter: Republicans should reconsider cuts to health care

For me, the attack on the Republican baseball team was not unexpected; however, it was wrong. Thank God the Capitol Police Force was on the scene.
The shooter asked if the team was Democrat or Republican, and when told they were Republicans, he opened fire on the field of players. This person made known publicly that he was upset about the health care bill the House Republicans passed.
They eliminated many essential benefits such as maternity benefits. Are they nuts? They cut Medicaid for the poor and elderly so they can give the rich a huge tax cut.
Now the Senate has writing their own health care bill. A 13, all-male panel, wrote and debated this bill in private. They planned no hearing. We did not know any of the provisions of this bill until Thursday. They must be ashamed of it.
This behavior is mean-spirited and hardhearted. The American people will not stick for health care benefits to be cut so the rich can have a huge tax cut.
