Trunecek, Lillian Serbousek
Lillian Serbousek Trunecek, 96, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2011, at her home. Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial will follow in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.
Lillian was born May 28, 1915, in Center Point, the daughter of Frank and Agnes Serbousek. She married Lumir Trunecek on Feb. 22, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. She worked at Wilsons during World War II. Lillian was a homemaker, cook and baker for many years, working for various families in the Cedar Rapids area.
She enjoyed playing bingo, quilting, crocheting, gardening, flowers, going dancing, and listening to and playing Czech music on the accordion.
Lillian is survived by her son, Dave.
She was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Anna Serbousek; and her husband, Lumir.
Memorials may be directed to the family in her name.
