Serbousek, Myra Ann (Stahle)
Myra Ann (Stahle) Serbousek, 97, of Swisher, died Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Colonial Manor of Amana from a brief illness. Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, July 6, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial will follow at Anderson Cemetery in Swisher. Visitation will be one hour before services.
Myra was born March 5, 1916, in Solon, the daughter of Marvin and Emma (Krob) Stahle, and married Leonard Serbousek on June 26, 1935. Myra worked for many years at the Cedar Rapids Airport Café. She enjoyed dancing all her life and card playing with friends in later life.
Myra is survived by her children, Tony (Judy) Serbousek of Iowa City and John (Lou) Serbousek of Swisher; five grandchildren, Cindy, Jerry, Jolene, John and Kim; great-grandchildren, Ryne, Ashley, Jared, Paige, Brennan, Mikaela, Taylor, Lindsey, Sarah and Andrew; and two great-great-grandchildren, Ayden and Brody, and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; her parents, Marvin and Emma; a brother, John; a daughter-in-law, Rita; and a great-granddaughter, Madison.
