Hacker, Darlene Anna Pretz
Darlene Anna Pretz Hacker, 80, died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids following a brief illness. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 25, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Marengo, with the Rev. Douglas Morton officiating. Burial will be in Marengo Cemetery. Visitation: 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Marengo. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, is in charge of arrangements.
Darlene is survived by her children, Patricia Wardenburg (Greg) of Vinton, Debra Hinrichs (Vance) of Marengo, Raymond Hacker (Sari) of Marengo and Ronald Hacker (Debra) of Waterloo; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Eldon Pretz of Cedar Rapids; and two sisters, Marlene Miller of Marengo and Betty Morstad of Roanoke, Va.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin E. and Martha Teggatz Pretz; and her husband, Donald L. Hacker.
A memorial fund has been established.
