Cashman, David R.
David R. Cashman, 62, of Vinton, died Monday, Jan. 23, 2012, at his home following a brave battle with cancer. A memorial visitation, followed by private family graveside services, in Big Grove Cemetery, rural Garrison, will be held at a later date.
David is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jacque of Vinton; his mother, Irene Cashman, of Vinton; two daughters, Brigette (Heath) Ayers of Cedar Rapids, and Nichole (Jeff) Silberger of Vinton; one son, Marc (Jade) Cashman of Cedar Falls; one sister, Linda (Larry) Rouse of Vinton; one brother, Jim Cashman of Shellsburg; two nephews; two nieces; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell Cashman; one sister, Becky Sue; and one grandson, Maddox.
A memorial fund has been established.
Van Steenhuyse-Russell Funeral Home in Vinton is caring for David and his family.
