Vanourney, Joanne I.

Joanne I. Vanourney, 65, of 1835 Maplecrest Dr., Marion, died Monday, Jan. 10, 2011, near Bethany, Mo., the result of an auto accident. Memorial services: 1 p.m. Tuesday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, Cedar Rapids. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Survivors include her husband, Frank; three sons, John of Cedar Rapids, Byron of Marion and Kurt of Lincoln, Neb.; a daughter, Tracy Cazelet of Des Moines; her mother, Norma Ciemnoczolowski, and a brother, Ralph Ciemnoczolowski, both of Marion. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, David, Daniel, Dale, Blake, Easton, Gage and Gunner Vanourney and Brock Cazelet.

She was preceded in death by her father, and two brothers, Richard and Robert.

Joanne was born Nov. 7, 1945, in Grand Island, Neb., the daughter of Iry and Norma (Richter) Ciemnoczolowski. She married Frank J. Vanourney in December 1969. Joanne was in accounting at Quaker Oats and retired from there after many years of service.

Joanne enjoyed gardening, traveling and had a real flair for decorating.

She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial fund has been established in Joanne's name.
