Hines, Judy Ann
Judy Ann Hines, 59, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Dec. 1, 2011, at the Cedar Valley Hospice Home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, Waterloo, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home on West Ridgeway, and continue for one hour before services on Tuesday.
She was born March 31, 1952, in Manchester, daughter of Roland and Mary Lou Odell. Judy Ann graduated from Prairie High School and Kirkwood Community College, both in Cedar Rapids, and attended UNI in Cedar Falls. She was employed at Qwest as a senior course developer for 25 years, retiring on April 2, 2011.
Judy Ann was an avid reader and was devoted to her “kids,” Cricket, Sassy and Skeeter, her three Maltese.
Survivors include two sisters, Catherine Hines and Gwen Roemig, both of Waterloo; a brother, Ronald Grandstaff of Lawrence, Kan.; a nephew, Michael Grandstaff of Lawrence, Kan.; a niece, Jackie Grandstaff of Tonganoxie, Kan.; and a great-niece and great-nephew, Sierra and Gage Sommer.
She was preceded in death by her parents and stepfather, Claude Grandstaff.
Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice.
