Bernice B. Faulkner, 89, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, Sept. 28, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Private inurnment will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Bernice was born May 1, 1926, in Pennsylvania to Joseph and Sophia (Sycz) Yavorsky. She married O. Dean Faulkner on Jan. 15, 1949, in Silver Springs, Fla. Bernice was co-owner and operator of B&F Transfer until her retirement.
Bernice enjoyed playing Bingo weekly at Hawkeye Downs.
She is survived by sons, Randy Faulkner of Cedar Rapids and Archie (Diana Schumacher) Faulkner of Center Point; 12 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Orval Dean Faulkner Jr., Stephen Faulkner and Vance Faulkner; as well as daughter-in-law, Catherine Faulkner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Bernice's name may be made to Camp Courageous.
