In the first IGHSAU girls' basketball rankings of 2017, only Class 4A received a significant shake-up, while the top fives in the other four classes remained the same.
In fact, in Class 5A, the entire top 15 is unchanged.
Only No. 1 Pella, No. 2 Marion, No. 14 Le Mars and No. 15 Sergeant Bluff-Luton stayed put in 4A. Lewis Central moved into the top five, while Cedar Rapids Xavier climbed three places to No. 7.
Western Dubuque dropped to No. 11 from No. 8 after seeing its 50-game regular-season winning streak snapped, while Boone (No. 6 to No. 10) and Keokuk (No. 3 to No. 12) were the other big movers.
Indianola (5A), Pocahontas Area (3A), Iowa City Regina (2A) and Springville (1A) are still No. 1.
Elsewhere in the area, Mount Vernon fell from No. 7 to No. 12 in 3A.
Ten of these teams will appear at Rivalry Saturday, hosted at the U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids this Saturday.
