Rod Blum must stop hiding from voters

It seems U.S. Rep. Rod Blum only likes to show up in the 1st Congressional District for photo ops and private events where he and his staff can control who the Congressman hears from.
Is our congressman afraid of people with ideas different from his own? Is our congressman fearful of opinions that don't match those of the ultraconservative Freedom Caucus? If Blum is afraid of dissenting opinions, he should go back to Dubuque, live his millionaire lifestyle and let someone else represent the people of the 1st District. It has been more than a year - May 11, 2017 - since Blum held a public event. What does that tell you about the courage of our Congressman?
