Heckroth’s work ethic spurs support

I support Thomas Heckroth as our candidate in the First District Congressional race. An important criteria for me in supporting and endorsing a candidate is looking at the candidate's past behavior. Not only their words but the consistency of their words and their actions. Thomas's work ethic is unquestioned by those with whom he worked. Whether as a member of Senator Harkin's staff or working in the Obama administration, Mr. Heckroth's colleagues attest to his work ethic. One of his opponents, Abby Finkenauer, who professes to work hard, actually missed 33 votes in the past two years as a member of the Iowa House of Representatives.

As a former State Representative, I believe that our constituents expect that we let people know where we stand on issues and we publicly declare that through our votes. I am voting for Thomas Heckroth, a person I can count on to be on the job representing the interests of me and my neighbors.
