Kenne, Ronald John
Ronald John Kenne, 64, of Central City, died Thursday, April 29, 2010, at this home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, May 3, at United Church of Christ in Central City by the Rev. Mark Woldruff. Family will greet friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church. Burial: Mount Clark Cemetery, Central City. Military honors: Wapsi American Legion Post 421. Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Central City is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; two daughters, Christine (Brian) Maloney of Alburnett and Geline (John) St. John of Marion; two grandchildren, Connor and Courtney Maloney; his mother, Ione Kenne of Whittemore; a brother, Roger Keene of Whittemore; and sister, Janice (Gary) Dvoracek of Holmen, Wis.
Ronald was preceded in death by his father.
Ronald was born April 4, 1946, the son of Raymond and Ione (Nelson) Kenne. Ronald was a Vietnam veteran of the United States Army. He earned his B.A. degree from the Minneapolis School of Fine Art. On Nov. 30, 1968, Ronald was united in marriage to Nancy Bork in Whittemore. He worked as a graphic artist for 18 years at Stamats and 19 years at Cedar Graphics. Ronald was a member of the United Church of Christ in Central City, the American Rose Society, Linn County Rose Society and Seed Savers.
A memorial fund has been established in Ronald's memory.
