Marian J. Johnston, 80, of Hiawatha, died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2010, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2010, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Marion. Graveside Service: 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Glenwood Cemetery, Glenwood, Iowa.

Survivors include her five children, Dennis Johnson, Richard (Rita) Johnston, Sharyn (Kenneth) Fuoss, Marcia Johnston and Mark Johnston; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one sister; one brother; and a special friend, Naomi.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother.

Marian was born August 2, 1930, the daughter of Henry and Lowene (Lloyd) Paulsen in Atlantic, Iowa. She married Albert Johnston on Nov. 9, 1949.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, 315 18th Ave., Hiawatha, IA 52233, in Marian's memory.
