MAXINE JOAN (BAIN) SIMMONS-BAUER

Maxine Joan (Bain) Simmons-Bauer, 73, of Denver Colo., formerly of Washington, Iowa, died Monday, April 12, 2021.
Maxine was born May 29, 1947, in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of the late Lucille (Rich) and Max Bain. She attended school in Washington, Iowa, graduating from Washington High School in 1964.
She lived in Iowa City, Iowa, Johnson City, Tenn., and moved to Denver, Colo., in 2012. Before retiring, Maxine spent most of her career with Aaron's Concrete as a bookkeeper. Although she loved her career, her real passion was her family, twin daughters, friends and Moose International. She loved to make people laugh and being social. She was known by many and will be loved and missed by everyone.
Maxine is survived by her daughter, Sheryl (Bauer) Shewman, son-in-law Dan Shewman of Centennial, Colo.; Dan Shewman; brother, Marion Bain of Surprise, Ariz.; and former husbands, Stan Bauer of Washington, Iowa, and Chuck Simmons of West Virginia.
Maxine was preceded in death by her daughter, Sherry Bauer-Wertz; parents, Max and Lucille Bain; and her twin brother, Marvin Bain.
The family will be having a private service to honor Maxine.
