JESSIE BLAYLOCK

Jessie Irene Blaylock died Saturday, Aug. 27, 2016, at English Valley Care Center, North English, at the age of 95.
She is survived by her children, Gary (Sandy) Blaylock of North English, Karyl (Bill) Miller of Washington, Mike (Margaret) Blaylock of North English and Pat (Michelle) Blaylock of Fairfax Station, Va.; 17 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; 19 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Harriett Denison of Sigourney; a son-in-law, Marvin Gent of Williamsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her parents; husband, Marvin, in 1989; a daughter, Karen Gent, in 2015; a sister, Dorothy Tadlock; three brothers, Dale, Wayne and Raymond Edmundson; a niece and a nephew.
Celebration of Life service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 30, at North English Christian Church. Pastor Luke Caster will officiate. Burial will be in Brethren Cemetery, rural South English. Visitation will be Monday, Aug. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Powell Funeral Home in Williamsburg.
A memorial fund has been established for Keokuk County Hospice and North English Christian Church.
