Aldrich, Lynn
Lynn Aldrich was born July 16, 1941, in North English, Iowa, a son of Marvin E. (Pete) and Luella May McArtor Aldrich. Lynn grew up in North English and graduated from English Valleys High School in North English. He was united in marriage to Sondra Browning in Cedar Rapids in 1962. Lynn was a member of the North English Christian Church. He worked at Amana Refrigeration for 35 years, retiring in 1999. Lynn loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the outdoors, trips to Canada, hunting and fishing, and collecting fishing lures. He passed away after a long illness on June 4, 2012, at his home in North English.
Lynn is survived by his wife, Sondra Aldrich of North English; sons, Brad (Cindy) Aldrich of Cedar Rapids and Brian (Jean) Aldrich of Shellsburg; four grandchildren, Alex (Taylor), Dakoda, Larkyn and Leyton; two great-granddaughters, Addison and Quinn; a sister, Myrna Heitshusen of Williamsburg, Iowa; and brothers, Darrell (Lisette) Aldrich of Fond du Lac, Wis., and Gary Aldrich of Iowa City, Iowa. Lynn was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Patty K. Aldrich; and a brother-in-law, Ralph Heitshusen.
Celebration of Life memorial services will be held at noon Saturday, June 9, 2012, at Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service in North English. Pastor Kirk Statler will officiate. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until service time. Burial will be at a later date in the North English Cemetery. Messages and tributes may be left at under obituaries.
