Police found 53 individual bags of marijuana when they entered a house in northeast Cedar Rapids on Wednesday.
Officers went to 1526 C Ave. NE just before 9 p.m. to serve a warrant on Antonio K. Thigpen, who was wanted for domestic abuse assault causing injury. They found him inside with marijuana and two women, Sgt. Cristy Hamblin said.
Thigpen, 29, is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. He was also charged with assault for allegedly punching a woman in the face on April 6.
He was taken to the Linn County Jail. He remained there Thursday afternoon, in lieu of an $18,500 bond.
Thigpen has been arrested by Cedar Rapids police on at least 26 different occasions, Hamblin said.
