Luedeman, Donald 'Don' Lee
Donald “Don” Lee Luedeman, 62, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at Lexington Square Care Center, Keokuk, following a long courageous battle with Parkinson's disease. Private family services will take place. Burial: Spring Grove Cemetery. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Don is survived by his mother, Jean Luedeman of Cedar Rapids; son-in-law, Jimmy Cordella; two grandsons, Jimmy Jo and Justin Cordella, all of Florida; uncle, Bill (Vicki) Filling, and aunt, Twilia Filling, both of Cedar Rapids; aunts, Nevada (Ann) Smith of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Florence Richie of Cedar Rapids; and ex-wife, Diane Parham of Florida.
He was preceded in death by his father, Carl; daughter, Karean; brother, Darrell; and stepbrother, Carl.
Donald was born Nov. 12, 1950, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Carl and Evelyn (Filling) Luedeman. He worked as a press operator and at several other jobs throughout the years.
Don had a black belt in karate and enjoyed scuba diving for fun. He attended the paramedic class at Kirkwood and aspired to be involved with helping people.
