Mattison, Kathryn Jean Sproston
Kathryn Jean Sproston Mattison, 82, died in her Sutliff home Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012, due to an aortic aneurysm. Kathryn's desire was to be cremated and taken home. There will be no services or viewing. Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon, is assisting the family with arrangements.
Surviving Kathryn are her children: three sons, David, Donald and Doug; and two daughters, Sherry Smith and Susan Mattison. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Preceding Kathryn in death were her parents and her husband, Aubrey “Bob” Mattison.
Kathryn was born at home on May 12, 1930, in Mount Vernon. Kathryn married Bob Mattison on Oct. 4, 1947. Bob died Jan. 10, 1996.
Kathryn will be greatly missed by family and friends.
