Bean, Elmeda L. Wieser
Elmeda L. Wieser Bean, 81, of Edgewood, formerly of Stanwood, Martelle and Mount Vernon, died Monday, Oct. 22, 2012, at the Edgewood Convalescent Center, from cancer. There will be a Mass in her name, and burial in St. John Cemetery, Cedar Rapids, later. Arrangements are entrusted with Morgan Funeral Choices, Mount Vernon.
Surviving Elmeda are her siblings, Leroy (Theresa) Bean, Urbana, Leo (Lori) Bean, Strawberry Point, and Luella DeShaw, Hopkinton; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding Elmeda in death were her parents; husband, Harlan; and two brothers, Donald (D.J.) and Clarence (Chuck) Weiser.
Elmeda spent 35 of her 81 years at Collins Radio, retiring in 1968. After her retirement, she volunteered her time and talent to the catholic church.
