Sharp Sr., Charles 'Chuck'
Charles “Chuck” Sharp Sr., 67, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Lantern Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Coralville. A visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, with a rosary at 6:30 p.m., at Hamilton's Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW Ninth St., Des Moines. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 15 Indianola Ave., Des Moines, with burial following at Glendale Cemetery.

Chuck was born April 1, 1942, in Tucson, Ariz., to Charles Edwin and Roberta Sharp. He grew up in Springfield, Mo., and came to Iowa in his later years. He graduated from Saydel High School in Des Moines and attended the University of Iowa, where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in liberal studies and continued to work.
Chuck is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lucille; his son, Charles Sharp Jr. of San Diego; and his brother, Jim Sharp of Altoona.
