Young, Berniece A.
Berniece A. Young, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital after a brief illness. Services: 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, by the Rev. Paul Minx. Burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday, Sept. 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
She is survived by her sister, Lula Winterowd; and her children, Richard and Audrey Young of Swisher, Virginia and Malcolm Scott of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, Mary and Richard Flaig of Salome, Ariz., and Lewis and Robin Young of Vinton. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles; a daughter, Charlotte; and two sisters, Lorraine and Maxine.
