Scott Corbett
SCOTT CORBETT Cedar Rapids Scott David Corbett of Cedar Rapids lost a courageous battle for life on Feb. 3, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City following a brief illness. He was 62. Scott was born May 23, 1952, to David Harland Corbett and Joyce "Joy" Eilleen (Kleppe) Corbett, both deceased. He is survived by a sister, Julia (Charles) Griffin of Des Moines; as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Scott was employed by Professional Ag Services in Walford, was a 1970 graduate of Prairie High School and attended one year of higher education at Kirkwood Community College. He enjoyed many diverse talents, including oil painting and chalk drawing, cooking and especially rebuilding and restoring classic muscle cars. His humble charm, down-home common sense, wicked sense of humor and steadfast strength will be sorely missed! A memorial service is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Walford Community Center, 120 Fifth St. N., Walford. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
