Mahoney, Beverly
Beverly Mahoney, 83, of Oxford, died Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Oxford, followed with burial at Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the church, concluding with a parish vigil service at 7 p.m.
A memorial fund has been established in Beverly's memory.

Beverly Joyce Rourke was born Sept. 8, 1930, in Oxford, the daughter of Raymond and Orpha (Larimer) Rourke. Bev lived her entire life in the Oxford area, where she graduated from Oxford High School in 1948. On Sept. 15, 1956, she married Clayton D. “Slick” Mahoney at St. Mary's Church in Oxford, where she was a lifelong member. Bev and Slick raised their family in the Oxford area. She also served on the Altar & Rosary Society and the Catholic Foresters. Bev was employed at Centro Inc. for over 25 years from where she retired in 1995.
Bev loved being on the homestead caring for her pets, watching the livestock, looking over the rolling hills and enjoying God's gifts around her. Bev was a kind, gentle and loving person always seeing the good in everyone through her sparkling blue eyes.
Bev's family includes her children, Kim (Chuck) Hennes of Oxford, Bob (Linda) Mahoney of Oxford, Camelle (Terry) Disterhoft of Tiffin, Brian (Kerrie) Mahoney of Venice, Fla., and Pat Mahoney (Rose Rohret) of Oxford; 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; sister, Karen (Jim) Tucker of Iowa City; and sisters-in-law, Leanne Miller and Joan (Gordon) Braatz, both of Oxford.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Slick; brother, LeRoy Rourke; and brothers-in-law, Bud Miller and Ted Mahoney.
