Mathes, Marilyn Marcene (Miller-Sullivan)
Marilyn Marcene (Miller-Sullivan) Mathes, 75, of Veguita, N.M., formerly of Alburnett and Robins, died Aug. 14, 2009, at Anna Kaseman Hospital in Albuquerque, N.M. Cremation will take place. No services are scheduled at this time.
Survivors include her children, Mike Sullivan, Sherri Baldonado and spouse Marty, Gerry Sullivan and spouse Helen and John Mathes; grandchildren, Kenny Chavez of Belen, N.M., Eric Baldonado of Cedar Rapids and Melanie Baldonado of Las Vegas, N.M.; and great-grandchildren, Christa Chavez of Marion and Domanic Chavez of Veguita, N.M.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rollie and Wilma Miller; her husband, Gene Sullivan; her son, Patrick Sullivan; and her daughter, Linda Sullivan.
Marilyn Miller was born in Washington, Iowa, on Aug. 15, 1933. She married Eugene Sullivan from Parnell, Iowa, in 1952. She worked as a social worker in the Toddville area for many years. After moving to New Mexico she continued her social work in the health care field, caring for hospice patients and the elderly.
Marilyn enjoyed reading, sewing and gardening. She loved animals especially her two dogs, Spook and Dot.
