Risk, John A.
John A. Risk, 59, of Independence, died Friday morning, May 10, 2013, at his home in Independence.
He is survived by three sons, Alexander (Lindsay) Risk of Ankeny, Louis Risk of Prague Czech Republic and Joseph Risk of Virginia Beach, Va.; three grandchildren; his parents, Katharine Risk of Independence and Donald Risk of Independence; a brother, William (Vicky) Risk of Tempe, Ariz.; a sister, Janet (Mark) Kohlmeyer of Oelwein; four nieces and a nephew.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Monday, May 13, at First Presbyterian Church, Independence, with the Rev. John Hougen officiating. Inurnment will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Independence. Friends may call after 1 p.m. Monday at the church.
