Dvorak, Edward Joseph 'Ed'
Edward Joseph “Ed” Dvorak, 56, died Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2011, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Columbus, Miss. Services were Oct. 31 at the Caledonia (Miss.) Church of Christ, with Minister Shane Meredith officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Vickie (Taggart) of Columbus, Miss.; one daughter, Crystal Coggin (Lee) of Sturgis, Miss.; one son, Rodney (Amanda) of Caledonia, Miss.; one stepson, Michael (Julie) Dvorak of Hattiesburg, Miss.; one sister, Jennie Seeck (Dale) of Keystone; one half sister, Diane Angle of California; three brothers, Roger (Gayla) of Branson, Mo., Jim (Sheila) of Cedar Rapids and Dean (Ellen) of Sturgis, S.D.; and five grandchildren, Madalyn, Emalee and Joseph Dvorak and Allison and Khloe Coggin.
Ed was born Feb. 23, 1955, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a son of Florian “Bud” and Mary Alice (Severe) Dvorak.
He was a member of the Caledonia Church of Christ and a retired U.S. Air Force Tech Sergeant with 20 years of service. During his military service he earned several medals and achievements. He worked 18 years as a corrosion control specialist at DynCorp, Columbus Air Force Base.
He had a love for NASCAR and riding his motorcycle.
He was a very devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and brother.
