Lawrence L. Cibula, 92, of Chelsea, passed away Friday, April 27, 2018, at Sunny Hill Care Center in Tama. Services are at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 3, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Chelsea. Burial will take place at Stayskal Cemetery, Vining, with military honors. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hrabak-Neuhaus Funeral Service, Belle Plaine, with a Scripture service at 6:30 p.m.

Lawrence, son of Albert and Frances (Kovarik) Cibula of the Vining community, was born March 3, 1926. He married Philomena Sevcik.
Lawrence is survived by a son, Arlo (Nancy) Cibula of Vining; and two daughters, Vickie (Dan) McElroy of Elberon and Cheryl (J.P. Golinvaux) Cibula of Des Moines; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister.
He was preceded in death by his wife, parents and three sisters, Lillian Rineberg, Rosalie Upah and Ruthie Cibula.
