Wilke, Warren E.
Warren E. Wilke, 83, died peacefully July 27, 2011, in Johnston.
Warren was born March 5, 1928, in St. Olaf, Iowa, the son of Elmer Fredrick and Lenora (Embretson) Wilke. He graduated from Monona High School in 1946. He was married to Janet Elaine Wirkler until her death in 1990.
Warren spent most of his adult years as partner in Wilke's Supermarkets in Monona, later expanding to Elkader and Farmersburg. He currently resided in the Des Moines area with his wife Mary.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; his daughter, Ann of Houston, Texas; and his brother, Tom (Mary Jo) of Monona.
