Carder, Kent
Kent Carder, 47, of Clinton, passed away peacefully on Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at The Alverno Health Care Facility. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 15, at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Clinton. Visitation will be Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m. at Lemke Funeral Home, South Chapel. Burial will take place at the Andover Cemetery. Lemke Funeral Home, Clinton, is assisting the family.
Kent was born Feb. 2, 1964, in Clinton, Iowa, the son of Keith and Shirley (Eickert) Carder. Kent worked for more than 20 years as a welder and millwright.
Kent enjoyed bike riding, four-wheeling, taking photos and he loved his dog Jake.
Kent is survived by his father, Keith Carder; a daughter, Jordan; three sisters, Loretta (Phil) Coppess of Clinton, Brenda (Everett) O'shogay of Cedar Rapids and Pam (Chris) Reedy of Clinton; four brothers, Bruce (Joyce) Carder of Cedar Rapids, John Carder of Clinton, Jim (Sammy) Carder o f Sabula and Kelly (Andrea) Carder of Clinton; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; a sister, Paula; and his grandparents.
