Andreae, Alice Gertrude (Barth) Nydegger
Alice Gertrude (Barth) Nydegger Andreae, was born Jan. 20, 1904, and passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at the Elkader Care Center following a short illness. Funeral services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Volga, with the Rev. Lin Reichstadter and Paul Fohs officiating. Burial: 2 p.m. Elgin Cemetery, Elgin. Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Leonard Funeral Home, Elkader, and one hour before service time Wednesday at the church.
She is survived by her children, Dorothy Seybert, Darlene Wilker and William (Luella) Nydegger; son-in-law, Harold Christeleit; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Ethel Barth of Colorado; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, William and Oscar; one daughter, Norma Christeleit; son-in-laws, Robert Seybert and William Wilker; one great-granddaughter, Tammy Christeleit; sisters, Mary, Emma, Margaret; and brothers, James, Chester, Ralph, Willie, Edgar, Glenn, Clifford and George.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Volga.
