Wilker, William George
William George Wilker, 78, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 2010, from complications associated with Alzheimer's disease. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 9, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, McGregor. Burial will follow at Clayton Cemetery near Clayton. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today at Thornburg-Hanson Funeral Home in McGregor and one hour before services at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene (Nydegger) Wilker; two daughters, Kathleen (Don) Hensen of Ames and Leslie (Paul) Schuhmacher of Evansdale; three sons, Wesley (Joanne) Wilker of Garnavillo, Michael Wilker of St. Augustine, Fla., and William Fred (Karen) Wilker of Russell; mother-in-law, Alice Andreae of Elkader; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to either St. Paul's Lutheran Church in McGregor or the McGregor Public Library.
