Phillips, Avery K.
Avery K. Phillips, seven month old daughter of Marissa Phillips, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 19, St. John's United Church of Christ, Clarence, with Pastor Lynn Butterbrodt officiating. Burial: Clarence Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Chapman Funeral Home, Clarence.
Survivors include her mother, Marissa Phillips of Clarence; maternal grandparents, Ron and Robin Phillips of Clarence; maternal great-grandfather, Don Brinkley of Clarence; an aunt, Brittany (Cale) Bixler of Clarence; an uncle, Thomas Phillips of Clarence; a special aunt, Jenise Vargason of Stanwood; and cousins, Braxton and Bailey Bixler of Clarence.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Kathleen Brinkley.
Avery was born Nov. 20, 2011, at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.
