McCrum, Val Paul
Val Paul McCrum, 61, of Las Vegas, Nev., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Monday, Nov. 8, 2010, peacefully in his home after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He will be greatly missed by his friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Irene McCrum.
A private memorial services will be held at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.
Paul was born Nov. 20, 1948, in Johnson County. He attended school in Cedar Rapids and after graduating, worked for the Cedar Rapids Police Department for 15 years before moving to Las Vegas, where he worked for the North Las Vegas Police Department, before retirement in 2006.
