Lisbon and Van Buren, both in Class 1A, are the final two undefeated prep baseball teams in the state this season.
At least one will go down Tuesday in Iowa City.
The second-ranked Warriors and third-ranked Lions are scheduled to meet at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the University of Iowa's Duane Banks Field, though both will have to defeat Pekin earlier in the day to set up a battle of unbeatens.
Lisbon easily swept Easton Valley on Monday night, winning a pair of shortened games, 15-0 and 14-4. The Lions are now 21-0, with 15 of those wins coming by 10-plus runs.
Lisbon will play Pekin in the first game of the day at 11 a.m. Van Buren (20-0) and Pekin (11-3) will follow at 1 p.m., with the matchup everyone is waiting for set to take place in the day's finale.
'If we beat Pekin and make it to Van Buren, then that's a big game that we might see in the future at the state tournament,” Lisbon senior Connor Woodward said.
