Hermsen expected to pitch Thursday in C.R.

Former West Delaware all-stater B.J. Hermsen is expected to start Thursday night's game for the Beloit Snappers at Veterans Memorial Stadium against the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
A Masonville resident, Hermsen was a sixth-round pick of the Minnesota Twins in 2008. He is 3-1 with a 4.29 earned run average in six starts for Beloit since joining the club from extended spring training.
In 35.2 innings, Hermsen - a right-hander - has allowed 40 hits and 10 walks, striking out 20.
