Cedar Rapids police investigate unattended death along trail
CEDAR RAPIDS - Police are investigating the death of a person whose body was found Saturday near the McLoud Run Trout Stream in northeast Cedar Rapids.
The body was found at 11:43 a.m. Saturday near the Cedar River Trail between J Avenue and 29th Street NE. After investigation, officers determined that the death was unattended, but that there was no danger to the public. No further information was released regarding the circumstances of the death.
The trail was closed while officers investigated the scene, but it was reopened around 4:30 p.m.
