Olaseni to play for Miami’s summer squad
IOWA CITY - Former Iowa center Gabe Olaseni agreed to terms to play for the Miami Heat's summer-league team, according to a tweet from assistant coach Sherman Dillard.
Olaseni, who stands 6-foot-10, was named the Big Ten's sixth man of the year after last season. Olaseni averaged 8.1 points a game last year, which ranked second among Big Ten reserves. He also grabbed 4.8 rebounds a game and was sixth in Big Ten blocked shots with 1.6 per game.
A London, England native, Olaseni averaged 5.0 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in his Hawkeye career.
