Butler, Lois Irene (Peters)
Lois Irene (Peters) Butler, 82, of Mesa, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died June 14, 2011, at Hospice of the Valley Home in Mesa. Private graveside services for family members will be at National Cemetery in Phoenix. Lois will be laid to rest next to her husband, World War II Navy veteran Charles F. Butler.
Survivors include her daughter, Joan C. (Butler) Lapinski and her husband, Thomas, of Punta Gorda, Fla.; her son, Larry D. Butler and his wife, Nyla, of Oracle, Ariz.; a brother, Virgil Peters of Lisbon; two sisters, Betty (Peters) Sass of Cedar Rapids and Carol (Peters) Light of Lisbon; a granddaughter, Kate JoAnne Lapinski of Orlando, Fla.; and a grandson, Matthew Thomas Lapinski of Punta Gorda, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Butler, formerly of Camanche; and a brother, Wilbur Peters, formerly of Anamosa.
Lois passed away gently, peacefully, and elegantly as she lived her life.
