Bohr, William Dean
William Dean Bohr, 57, died Monday, June 11, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City. Memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, June 15, at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. Sister Susan Dunwald will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Lisbon Cemetery in Lisbon.
Surviving are his wife, Grace; two children, Marie and Nicholas Bohr; and three sisters, LeAnne Bohr of Mount Vernon, Sharon (Greg) Young of Blairstown and Janet (Dane) Bescher of Mechanicsville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
William Dean Bohr was born Nov. 12, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Dean and Laurene Conner Bohr. William was a 1975 graduate of Lincoln Stanwood High School. On May 20, 1978, William and Grace Noel were united in marriage in Cedar Rapids. Bill worked at Goss Products in Cedar Rapids for more than 22 years.
He was a lifetime member of Bass Masters. He enjoyed bow hunting, fishing, gardening and being outdoors, but the thing he treasured most was the time he was given to spend with his family and friends.
He will be missed dearly by those closest to him.
