Albang, Richard J.
Richard J. Albang, 68, of Dyersville, died peacefully at home of natural causes on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 28, at St. Francis Cemetery Chapel in Dyersville. Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 137. Kramer Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
Dick was born Nov. 30, 1944, in Dyersville, the son of Lawrence and Lorraine (Osterhaus) Albang. He served his country in the Navy from 1962-1966, and after returning home began working at Collins Radio in Cedar Rapids. He also worked at P&H Heavy Equipment Manufacturing and finally Goss Printing. He retired and moved back to Dyersville.
He is survived by two sons, Travis Albang and Scott Albang, both of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Dalaina and Carter Albang; three siblings, Tony (Sandi) Albang of Mankato, Minn., Joan Cueno of Dyersville and Dave (Phyl) Albang of Oxford Junction; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter at birth; and a brother, Charles Albang.
