Teachout, James 'Jim' Frederick
James “Jim” Frederick Teachout, 76, a resident of Crestview Acres Nursing Home, formerly of Moundview Manor, Marion, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at the nursing home. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Marion, with a luncheon to follow. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Marion.
Survivors include his wife, Joan H. Teachout of Marion; stepchildren, Laurie (Richard) Moritz of Cedar Rapids, James Steichen (Dr. Carol Lang) of Slayton, Minn., Sherie Zamora of Denver, Colo., and Cathy Williams of Oskaloosa; and stepgrandchildren, Tommy and Laura Steichen of Slayton, Minn., Eric Jon Bernal, currently serving with the U.S. Coast Guard, and Chad O'Neill, Teresa Seifert, Andrew Seifert, and Chris Seifert, all of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and stepson, Brad Zamora of Cedar Rapids.
