Goldsberry, Clifford D.
Clifford D. Goldsberry, 74, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2009, at St. Luke's Hospital. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Joan; his children, Krista of Iowa City and Robb (Trish) of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Brittney, Haley and Calvin; a brother, Chester Jr. (Mary Lou); and nine sisters, Sharlene (James) Flynn, Janice (Alston) Brooks, Karen Pitcher, Marcine (Doug) Luke, Cheryl Goldsberry, Marilyn (David) Welsh, Lynda (Mick) Lynch, Sherrie (Jim) Justice and Julie (Gary) Ambach.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Randolph Lehs; and sister-in-law, Wanda Schlatter.
Cliff was born May 13, 1935, the son of Chester and Maxine (Sullivan) Goldsberry, in Mitchell, S.D. He served his country with the United States Army. On Dec. 16, 1963, Cliff was united in marriage to Joan Schlatter in Kahoka, Mo. For 46 years, he worked at Varns & Hunter Motor Supply, retiring in 2000. Cliff was a past member of the Mount Herman Lodge No. 263, AF & AM, and Cedar Valley Amateur Radio Club.
A memorial fund has been established in memory of Cliff.
