Tiger Hawk logo should adorn water tower

Gary Barta, Jane Meyer and Sally Mason (University of Iowa officials), a question for you: Where would your school, and your other athletic programs, be without Kirk Ferentz's football program? It is only a hypothetical question, because everyone knows the answer. I am not going away, guys.
Stop hiding behind politically correct reasoning and do what is right. Paint a Tiger Hawk logo on the water tower! You are not painting the entire tower, just a logo or two.
This is arguably the best football program Iowa has had. Thank God, because since Tom Davis was driven off by booster pressure, not much help from the basketball program.
Ferentz deserves the honor. The football team deserves the honor, and the boost it will receive from the national attention it will draw.
Think about those prime time games and what could have been if the Tiger Hawk had been prominently and proudly displayed. There is no doubt in my mind that it would create some lively banter on national television.
How many Division I football programs have their team logo on display for a national audience and prospective student-athletes to see?
Iowa has a chance to be in the forefront on this, a trendsetter. God forbid if someone is offended by it. Get it done by football season! Or at least by the first prime time football game. Then sit back and listen to the announcers talk about it.
You can't go wrong, and you know it.
