Letter: Visit a veteran before taking a knee

Before another sports hero takes a knee and disrespects our flag and national anthem, they should be required to visit with a World War II veteran.
Just maybe they can still find one that landed on the beach at Normandy or was present when the flag was raised on Iwo Jima or freed from the Philippines from the Japanese. Also, visit with a Korean War vet or Vietnam vet or anyone who served in Iraq or Afghanistan. Better yet, visit with the parents, brothers, sisters and other relatives of our fallen soldiers.
The leaders of this rebellion should be required to be present when the Honor Flight vets visit Washington and walk or wheel them around the memorials, especially the Vietnam Veterans Memorial.
After they do these things, I would like one of these sports heroes to tell us why they still disrespect our flag and anthem.
