AAU coach: Jarrod Uthoff looking at several schools, Iowa State, possibly Big Ten
Apr. 19, 2012 4:16 pm
Jarrod Uthoff has interest in visiting several schools in the coming weeks, now that Wisconsin's athletics department lifted all non-Big Ten restrictions on the freshman transfer.
Uthoff, a 6-foot-8 Cedar Rapids Jefferson graduate, has interest in Iowa State, Florida, Creighton and Northern Iowa, according to his AAU coach, Iowa Barnstormers Executive Director Jamie Johnson. Uthoff also is weighing his options about possibly appealing his Big Ten restrictions.
Uthoff, a Marengo native, was heavily recruited by Iowa, Indiana and Illinois before picking Wisconsin in July 2010. He red-shirted this season and is ineligible to compete for a Division I school next year.
Uthoff was Iowa's Mr. Basketball in 2010 after leading the state in scoring at more than 26 points a game.
