Franklin H. Forsythe, 82, of Spring Hill, Fla., passed away Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, at Bayfront Health, Spring Hill. Franklin came to this area in 2004 from his native Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
He was an electrician, a U.S. Air Force veteran and a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by his sons, Irvin and Andrew Spead.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Forsythe; son, Steven Spead of Indiana; daughters, Michele Racsin of Wetworth, N.H., Cheryle Wilson of Kersey, Colo., and Sharon McHugh of Kingdom City, Mo.; brothers, Francis of Hiawatha, Fred of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and Freeman of Australia; nine grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren.
A graveside service with military honors will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 18, at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell. Arrangements by Merritt Funeral Home, Spring Hill Chapel, Spring Hill, Fla., (352) 686-6649.
