CORALVILLE - The Friends of the Coralville Public Library host a book sale from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday in Meeting Room A at the library, 1401 Fifth St.
More than 7,000 books are being offered as part of the event.
Prices are $2 for hardcover books and $1 for paperbacks on Friday.
On Saturday, the prices are cut in half with hardcover books offered for $1 and paperbacks for 50 cents.
Some of the items are individually priced at different amounts.
Organizers said the sale features a lot of classics, children's books and holiday books. A variety of other items, including CDs, sheet music and DVDs also are part of the sale.
The Friends group hosts a book sale quarterly at the library and all of the money collected is used to help the library purchase items on its wish list.
For more information, call the library at (319) 248-1850.
