National debt exists to protect us

To the editor:
It is very unfortunate that every day citizens fail to understand our nation's debt. Without it we wouldn't be here.
Our debt just saved us from the Bush 43 depression. It is also how we finance our military and wars. If these costs were added up honestly (which they are not); they would eat up our entire budget. We could cut everything else to 0 and maybe still not balance the budget.
Well, how will we pay it, you ask? We won't, the entire world will have to pay it. We sell our debt and pay them back with inflated and printed dollars. Not fair you say. Maybe not, but that is the way it works. Owning the world's reserve currency has its perks.
Joni Ernst and the balanced budget pols may destroy us. The scare tactic, that we our passing on this debt to our kids. Is the big lie passed on by politicians trying to benefit from it?
